The school day starts at 8.45am and finishes at 3.15pm. Children should be lined up and ready to go into school with their class at 8.40am meaning the school day can begin promptly at 8.45am. Registration closes at 8.55am. If children arrive at school after 8.40am and the class have already gone into the classroom please take your child to the office, where you will need to sign them in.

The total time this amounts to in a typical week – including breaks, but not after-school activities – is 32.5 hours.

Lunchtime is from 12.00-1.00 for Years 1.2.3,4,5 & 6

Drop-off and collection

At the beginning of the school day parents should encourage their child to line up ready to go into school when they come onto the playground. Parents are encouraged to support their children to be independent in lining up and coming into school to help children to develop good routines and confidence.  If someone other than a parent is going to collect a child in KS1 (e.g. you are delayed, or another person is collecting your child) please let the school office know. We will not let children go with another adult unless we have been informed this is the case.

Getting to school

To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Children are welcome to arrive at school by bicycle or scooter, we have bike racks at the rear of the school but for reasons of safety these must not be ridden on the school premises. Children and parents should use the playground or field gate to enter the school premises.

Parking

Please use the car park by the church and avoid parking on the sides of the roads near the school.
